The Dungeons & Dragons movie, which filmed some segments in Wells, is set for a wide release at the end of March in the UK.
The film's full title is Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and is not the first adaptation of the RPG, with a version being made in 2000, along with two direct-to-video films in 2005 and 2012.
Back in November, it was reported that the film's initial release date of March 3, 2023, had been pushed back, which was likely to avoid competition with other films coming into cinemas that month.
These included John Wick: Chapter 4, Creed III and Shazam: Fury of the Gods.
However, no problems have arisen since then to push the release date back any further and it will release in UK cinemas on Friday, March 31.
Initial reviews from press screenings have been positive so far, achieving a 91% score on Rotten Tomatoes from 34 critic ratings.
When did Dungeons & Dragons film in Wells?
Film crews descended on Wells last year to film segments, and used the cathedral as well as the area outside the Bishop's Palace for several scenes.
Chris Pine was one of the actors seen on location, who is known for playing James T. Kirk in the rebooted Star Trek films, as well as appearing in Wonder Woman, Into the Woods, Unstoppable and Hell or High Water.
Young actress Chloe Coleman, who is known for appearing in the TV series Big Little Lies, was also spotted in Wells.
Other members of the cast include Hugh Grant, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Jason Wong and Daisy Head.
