A FAST food outlet serving up fried chicken is due to open in Wellington later this month.

Miss Millie's will be selling up freshly prepared food, drinks, desserts and treats from premises at Westpark, Chelston.

The offering will include a range of chicken burgers, wraps, hot wings, tenders, churros and waffles

Miss Millie’s and Motor Fuel Group (MFG), the UK’s largest independent forecourt operator, have announced that Wellington will be the location for its first forecourt store after entering into a franchise partnership agreement earlier this year.

The new partnership will see Miss Millies on the forecourt of petrol stations across the UK for the first time, with the new Wellington restaurant and takeaway opening in late May.

The agreement between Miss Millie’s and MFG is an important milestone for Miss Millie’s as it forms part of the brands expansion plans to become nationally recognised over the coming years.

The new Wellington store will see the roll out of Miss Millie’s new brand, in store design and menu.

Carl Traill, managing director for Miss Millies, said: "We are delighted to have partnered with MFG, so that more people can access Millie's awesome chicken when on the move.

‘We can’t wait to bring the Miss Millies brand to the residents of Wellington, and create up to 30 new job opportunities in the area.’

"Miss Millies has been serving awesome chicken in Bristol and the South West for over 30 years, and we are excited to be travelling further south into Somerset, and the town of Wellington."

MFG’s food service director Paul Deary said: “Food to Go is becoming a growing attraction to our forecourt customers.

"We are always looking to offer high quality and exciting products and I believe that the introduction of Miss Millie’s ‘awesome chicken’ range will prove to be a success.”

Miss Millie's has been serving fried chicken to customers since 1988.

It has 11 branches across the UK in Bristol, Weston-super-Mare, Southampton, Yate and Walthamstow.
