THE Chemical Brothers are set to make their Arcadia debut at Glastonbury Festival 2023 with a Friday evening DJ set.
The Arcadia Spectacular, the festival's 50-tonne fire-breathing spider, has revealed its full line-up for this year's festival.
It has also announced that the area will run entirely off renewable energy sources this year, using biofuels to set Glastonbury's late-night world alight.
The Chemical Brothers (Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons) will take control of the fiery arachnid early on Friday night.
Last year, the duo were forced to cancel their Friday night Arcadia set because Rowlands had tested positive for Covid.
After today's announcement, they tweeted: “Don't miss The Chemical Brothers' DJ at Arcadia at Glastonbury on Friday, June 23!”

Pip Rush and Bert Cole, co-founders of Arcadia, said: “The spider has always been a symbol of positive change, repurposing what was once the machinery of war into a unifying totem for tens of thousands of people.
“Now with a recycled fuel source, it has that same spirit of transformation running through its veins.”
A spokesperson said: “The spider awakes each evening at 9.30pm, and The Arcadia Bug kicks off the field at 6pm.
“By day, the bug will be heading out on patrol, jamming impromptu moments and lighting up the arena before nesting back in the spider’s shadow.”
Glastonbury 2023 will be held between Wednesday, June 21 and Sunday, June 25.
This year, the iconic Pyramid Stage will feature Lizzo, Arctic Monkeys, Guns N' Roses, Sir Elton John and Yusuf (aka Cat Stevens) in the Legends Slot.
Other big names on the line-up include Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Rey, Aitch, Fatboy Slim and Lil Nas X.
Former County Gazette editor and Glastonbury Festival devotee Paul Jones has written a book charting the first 50 years of the event’s history, featuring the memories and experiences of dozens of artists who have performed at Worthy Farm.
His book, View From The Stage: 50 Years of Glastonbury by the People that Played, has been described as a “brilliant collection of beautifully-written interviews” detailing some of the festival's brightest and quirkiest moments. Interviewees include members of Oasis, Status Quo, Napalm Death and Toploader.
