FAST off the mark at Wellington's latest fast food outlet this morning (Thursday, May 25) were the first 50 customers keen to snap up a free classic burger.
Miss Millie’s and Motor Fuel Group opened their store on the edge of the town earlier on.
The new outlet within the Shell filling station in Westpark showcases Miss Millie’s new brand, in store design and menu.
The freshly prepared food, drinks, desserts and treats include a range of chicken burgers, wraps, hot wings, tenders, churros and waffles, as well as the company's signature fried chicken.
The Wellington opening marks the first forecourt store for Miss Millie's and forms part of an agreement with the Motor Fuel Group (MFG) announced earlier this year, which will see more Miss Millie's appearing at garage forecourts across the UK.
Carl Traill, managing director for Miss Millie's, said: "We are delighted to have opened this new Miss Millie's store in Wellington today and can’t wait for local residents to come and taste our new delicious menu.
"Miss Millie's has been serving awesome chicken in Bristol and the South West for over 30 years.
"It's really exciting to have opened our first forecourt store, and taken the Miss Millie's brand further south into Somerset and the town of Wellington.
MFG’s food service director Paul Deary said: “Food to Go is becoming a growing attraction to our forecourt customers.
"We are always looking to offer high quality and exciting products and we believe that the introduction of Miss Millie’s ‘awesome chicken’ range will prove to be a success.”
