A POPULAR café on the outskirts of Taunton has been put up for sale.

New Zealander Myles Anderson has regrettably decided to sell Silver's Pantry, at Prockters Farm, Weston Monkton, for family reasons.

Head chef and owner Myles, who has run the business with his wife for five years, said: "I've got some family issues back home in Napier that I need to attend to.

"I need to free up my time. It's not easy running the business under the circumstances.

"It's a shame because I've absolutely loved it here.

"I've got some fantastic, wonderful customers coming in on a regular basis. They're more like friends than customers.

"I like to have a fairly relaxed atmosphere with regards to staff and customers, making it a nice place to work and visit."

Myles, who has over 25 years' catering experience around the globe, set up Silver's Pantry due to his "love of good food and great coffee".

His aim is to offer customers "the best dining experience possible".

Silver's features an open kitchen allows customers to engage with the chef and really see what happens in the kitchen.

The cafe setting is beautiful, peaceful and serene.

Myles previously told the County Gazette: "The quality of food at Silver’s Pantry is incredibly high.

"We pride ourselves on sourcing fresh, local ingredients to go into our meals.

"We are wholeheartedly committed to providing a first-class experience for all our customers.”

Silver's specialises in breakfast, brunch and lunch and some of the best-loved dishes served up include eggs Benedict, eggs Royale and buttermilk pancakes.

There are vegetarian and vegan options.

Silver's Pantry is being offered for sale at a negotiable price of £100,000. For details, contact Myles Anderson.
