THE Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton will continue to host international cricket over the next seven years.
The ECB have today announced the venues hosting England Men’s and England Women’s international matches from 2025 to 2031.
The home of Somerset County Cricket Club will once again be playing host to the England Women.
Matches confirmed so far will see Women’s International white-ball fixtures in 2025, 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030.
SCCC CEO, Gordon Hollins said: "It is an honour to have been announced as one of the host venues for international cricket for the period 2025 to 2031.
"Somerset has a long-established history of championing the women’s game at every level, and we are delighted to be playing an important role in the next chapter.
"The women’s game continues to flourish and the South West is dedicated to ensuring that we play our part in its continued growth.
"Role models like Heather Knight, Anya Shrubsole and Fran Wilson have strong ties to this region and we look forward to lots more girls across the South West emulating their achievements in the coming years.”
Allocations have been announced for seven years, rather than the previous five-year period, to give venues greater certainty and to encourage sustainable investment in facilities.
