CREWS from Wellington Fire Station were called out to tackle a fire started deliberately at this historic Tonedale Mill, on the edge of the town.
The arson attack took place on Sunday (July 9).
The two engines from the town's fire station were sent to the incident.
On arrival, firefighters discovered a small fire inside one of the buildings.
A spokesperson for Wellington Fire Station said: "The fire was quickly extinguished.
"However residual smoke and fire spread had made its way into the roof.
"Crews dismantled the plasterboard ceiling to ensure the fire was completely extinguished."
The incident was one of five call outs for the local firefighters, four of them on Sunday.
