YOUNG people are being encouraged to try out some of the classes at this year's Taunton Flower Show.
This year, the theme across Division 10 is Reuse and Recycle. As explained on the Taunton Flower Show Competition Classes 2023 document, this is perfect for youngsters, as it allows their imaginations to run wild.
Children can expect to see animals made of fruit and vegetables, as well as have the chance to enter into a Junior Master Baker competition, to name just a few of the classes available.
Young people will also have a chance to have a go at flower arranging at the Fun with Flowers competition. Whilst each participant will be given identical plant materials and accessories, it is up to them to make the best-looking flower arrangement.
The organisers will also host the Taunton Flower Show Young Photographer of the Year – showing the next generation of talented photographers. This year’s categories include mushrooms, wildflowers and creepy crawlies.
To learn more, visit the show's website or pick up a booklet from Taunton Visitors Centre and Monkton Elm Garden Centre.
