John Sellick has been named as Wellington AFC’s Clubperson of the Year for the 2022-23 season.
He received the Brown Rosebowl from chairman Mike Hall at a Helpers’ Night held in the clubhouse yesterday (Saturday).
John performs a variety of roles across the club including running their thriving Wildcats girls’ section.
He also guided the Wildcats Ladies to the championship in their first season and carries out a wide range of maintenance work.
The Helpers’ Night was staged as a thank you to the club’s small army of volunteers – on both the playing side and in the clubhouse.
Entertainment was provided by popular local band Monopole.
The Tangerines travel to Bishops Lydeard on Thursday before completing their pre-season programme at Bishop Sutton on Saturday.
They start the new Toolstation premier campaign with a long trip to Helston Athletic on Saturday, July 29th.
