NOVICES and informal gardening groups have been encouraged to showcase their talents at this year's Taunton Flower Show.
The popular show will take place at Vivary Park on August 4 and 5.
Anyone who has been in the show's competition marquee before will have seen the big display entries for Division 1.
The title this year is called ‘The Market Stall’ and is open to all informal groups, gardening clubs, associations, and societies.
Those interested in growing might consider entering Divisions 2 and 3, which are all about flowers, fruit and vegetables.
Division 4 is specifically for novices - that is those exhibitors who have not won a first prize previously in the show.
The competition marquee will also play host to some conversations with various specialists, such as the National Vegetable Society and the Allotment Society.
There will also be a chance to ask the experts in the Gardeners' Question time, this year based in the floral marquee on both days.
The competition booklet and details about how to enter can be found online at tauntonfs.co.uk.
You can also pick up a booklet from Taunton Visitors Centre and Monkton Elm Garden Centre.
