A GROUP of women who have had breast cancer have been treated to a beauty evening in the Boots store in Taunton.
The members of Taunton Breast Friends had the chance to enjoy a No7 makeover, a make up sessions and skin care advice.
There was also help and advice from the pharmacy team and tips on cancer medication.
There were prizes up for grabs in a fun hoop game and a raffle and plenty of laughs were had by those present.
The raffle raised £69 for MacMillan, which Boots rounded up to £140 with a donation.
Refreshments were supplied by Tesco and Costa.
Taunton Breast Friends has grown in numbers since it was set up by Heather Lamont last year and is hoping to welcome its first male member shortly.
The group recently obtained a grant from MacMillan, while breast surgeon Maria Bramley and oncologist Charlotte Atkinson have attended meetings.
Recently Castle Brake Touring Park put up a three-night holiday break for a family, which will be raffled.
Meanwhile, Heather is advising everyone to check their breasts every month and to visit their GP if they notice any lumps or changes.
Breast Friends meet on the second Tuesday of every month at Comeytrowe Community Centre from 10am to 12noon.
