SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR headlined the second night of Live in Somerset in Vivary Park last night (Saturday, August 26).
Thousands of fans enjoyed a set made up of songs from her latest album, her seventh, as well as some of her biggest hits and a disco medley.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor replaced The Proclaimers and she played tribute to the Scottish duo by singing a cover of I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles), joined on stage by The Feeling’s Dan Gillespie-Sells.
The long disco medley included disco anthems from the early 2000s, such as Sing It Back by Moloko and Lady (Hear Me Tonight) by Modjo.
A cover of Like a Prayer by Madonna ended the medley/cover section of the set and left room for some of Ellis-Bextor’s biggest hits, Get Over You, and Murder on the Dancefloor.
A cover of 1970s Yes, Sir, I Can Boogie by Baccara marked the end of her energetic set which left people in the crowd saying “I loved every minute of it”.
