- The Princess of Wales visited YNAS Yeovilton, a Royal Navy air station in Somerset, today (Monday, September 18).
- She was shown around the airfield and spent time in the air traffic control tower, as well as conducting training exercises in a hangar and trying out a helicopter simulator.
- King Charles III went to the air station for helicopter flying training in 1974.
