A TRAVELLING team of digital gurus are set to visit rural areas of Somerset to help with technology and IT issues starting next month.
The Minehead Connection Cafe have organised the Digital Roadshow to help rural West Somerset residents to get online.
The roadshow focuses on areas that may be excluded from internet access due to remote location and poor connection.
Beth Wrigley, Digital Coordinator at Minehead Eye, said: “We’re looking forward to getting out into the community and offering free help and advice to people who want to access online services safely and with confidence for anything from online shopping to improving their IT skills to managing their health and wellbeing.
“We are also offering technical support for those who have a smartphone, laptop or tablet and need help setting them up or learning how to use them proficiently.
“The roadshow will be run as a drop-in service, so there is no need to book.
"There will be a mobile WIFI unit available so that we can ensure everyone can get online and we will have a selection of different devices available that attendees can use if they want to try something new.”
