A CASE management company with offices in Taunton's Creech Castle has scooped three national awards.

Unite Professionals, which works with people who have sustained severe injuries ranging from bad fractures to brain and spinal injuries, netted the hat trick of accolades at the Case Management Society UK awards after being shortlisted in four of the eight categories.

It won Case Management Company of the Year, Catastrophic Case Manager of the Year for the work of Elaine Miller, and Clinical Case Manager of the Year went to Lisa Dunthorne.

Managing director Jo Evans said “Our three wins at the Case Management Awards this year are testament to 13 years' hard work and commitment from my incredible team.

"We are so proud to be able to call ourselves the Case Management Company of the Year and so delighted that the life-changing work of two of our wonderful case managers, Elaine and Lisa, has been recognised.

"None of this would be achieved without the incredible support that we give the clients and our case managers from our Taunton and Southport offices and this award really is about the whole team and how much they care about our clients.”

The company's case managers work with their clients and their families to set them achievable goals for rehabilitation and help them find the right rehabilitation specialists in their area, whether that be a physiotherapist or a local hydrotherapy centre.

They will also look at their housing and care needs and work to get houses altered, care plans put in place so that the clients can live in comfortable surroundings with the support they need around them.

They also make sure clients maintain their interests and have an active social life, which may involve joining clubs or groups from coffee mornings to wheelchair rugby.
