SHEPTON Mallet Town Council have announced they will postpone their upcoming public drop in sessions and meetings.
The proposed budget workshop and related drop in session were initially set to take place on October 17 and 18, but the town council has now rescheduled for later in the year.
The workshops take place annually as part of the sequence of meetings which the council undertakes in the autumn to prepare the budget for the following year.
Once the town council has decided on the budget needed for developing Shepton Mallet in 2024, the sessions will go ahead, meaning there will be more to discuss and debate over.
The rescheduled budget workshop is set to take place in the library from 7pm until 9pm on December 5.
The drop in session will be available to attend the following day, December 6, from 9am until 4pm.
A spokesperson for Shepton Mallet Town Council said: "The public budget workshop is an opportunity to hear the Council's plans for the coming year and offers a new way for residents to feed their thoughts into the process before the budget is agreed.
"For those who cannot make the workshop, there will be a drop-in session the following afternoon where you can ask questions and feed in your thoughts."
