AN AWARD-WINNING bed and breakfast in Somerset hopes to add to its résumé after being shortlisted for a distinguished award.
The Old Stables Bed & Breakfast is located in the countryside of Shepton Mallet, and is now one of just three finalists for the Dog-Friendly Business of the Year Award at the Somerset Tourism Awards.
Breakfast on offer for guests hoping to enjoy a peaceful and serene trip to the countryside includes locally sourced Somerset Yeo Valley yoghurt, freshly baked pastries, and home made marmalades, jams, and sauces.
Guests with dogs all receive a pup-pack upon arrival, which includes poop bags, towel, carpet spray for any accidents, kitchen roll, home-baked dog treats, dog bowls, a placemat for any spills, and lots of information on dog walks and days out.
Lucky pups visiting the B&B will also receive a toy to take home with them.
As well as a three-acre field on site, The Old Stables is located near to several stunning countryside walks, and dog-friendly pubs.
The winner of the Dog-Friendly Business of the Year award will be announced at the Somerset Tourism Awards ceremony on November 30 at The Bristol Hotel.
