A STUNNING hotel in Taunton has been commended by the Bristol, Bath and Somerset Tourism Awards.
The Castle Hotel was honoured with commended status in the Small Hotel of the Year category.
Ronan Hunter, the Castle at Taunton's Director and General Manager, explained how the recognition was welcomed in what is currently a hard time for the hospitality industry.
"It's always nice to be talked about in those kinds of circles, especially in this time when things are so challenging for so many businesses," he said.
"Our team has work exceptionally hard to maintain standards when there’s so many challenges to face on a daily basis.
"It’s a testament to our team’s hard work throughout such challenging times for the hospitality industry in general - it’s a boost for the team really, it shows their hard work isn’t going unnoticed."
The hotel has built up a strong reputation for excellent service in all aspects, over three generations of family ownership by the Chapmans.
Guests staying at The Castle Hotel enjoy a choice of 44 bedrooms, expertly-cooked and crafted meals around the clock, evening cocktails, and afternoon tea as just some of the services on offer.
