IT'S a good day if you are a huge Fargo fan from the South West, as Taunton-educated star Juno Temple has appeared in the new trailer for the show's fifth series.

The Ted Lasso actress, renowned for her roles in Atonement, The Other Boleyn Girl and The Dark Knight Rises, takes on the role of Dorothy 'Dot' Lyon.

She grew up in Taunton and attended Enmore Primary School in Bridgwater and King's College in the county town.

Ms Temple, who won the BAFTA Rising Star Award back in 2013, was seen in an intriguing scene in the trailer armed with a nail-spiked baseball bat.

Her character is described as a "wolf in sheep's clothing".

Deputy Indira Olmstead, portrayed by Richa Moorjani, had her say, viewing Dot as highly formidable.

She said: "Let me tell you what I see.

"I see a woman who outsmarted two kidnappers."

It seems Sheriff Roy Tillman, played by Jon Hamm with visible nipple rings, will be hot on her tail.

In the trailer, he asserted: "There is no one on God’s green Earth who’s a greater enforcer of the laws than Roy Tillman."

Lorraine Lyon is played by well-known actress Jennifer Jason Leigh.

In another twist, this season shifts the setting to North Dakota and Minnesota in 2019.

Fargo, an American black comedy crime drama series, is inspired by the 1996 Coen brothers film of the same name, and first premiered in April 2014 on FX.

Prior seasons have featured stars like Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Chris Rock, Billy Bob Thornton, Ewan McGregor and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Argo season five is set to premiere on November 21 on FX, with the release of two episodes.

Noah Hawley, the show's creator, will be returning as writer and director.

Previous seasons are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video and Hulu, however it has now been removed from Netflix in the UK.
