FIREFIGHTERS across Somerset had a busy day dealing with incidents caused by Storm Ciarán yesterday (Thursday, November 2).
The whole county was battered with heavy rain and strong winds and fire crews were called out to several floods.
Blue Watch and on call firefighters based at Taunton Fire Station answered many calls for assistance.
They have issued a number of pictures of the scenes that greeted crews as they arrived on scene.
A spokesperson for Taunton Fire Station said: "Blue Watch and On Call firefighters have dealt with numerous rescues of persons stuck in their vehicles due to rising floodwater.
"They have dealt with incidents near Bathpool, Ruishton and Allerford, supported by the SRT crew from Bridgwater."
