BRUCE 'The Boss' Springsteen's odds to headline next year’s Glastonbury Festival have shortened dramatically following the announcement of his 2024 tour, according to bettingsites.co.uk.
Springers announced this week he will be touring Europe next summer, with his schedule seemingly leaving room for an appearance at Worthy Farm at the end of June.
Springsteen, who headlined the festival in 2009, was priced at 7/1 to top the bill at Glastonbury in 2024 just a few days ago, but he is now available at 10/11, placing him behind only Dua Lipa (1/3), Coldplay (1/3) and Madonna (4/6) in the betting.
Neil Roarty, spokesperson for bettingsites.co.uk, said: “Bruce Springsteen last headlined Glastonbury in 2009, and ever since then there’s been talk of when The Boss will finally return to top the bill at Worthy Farm, having joined Paul McCartney on stage as a special guest there in 2022.
“Well following the announcement of his new European tour next summer, the schedule seems to suggest he could be saving a date to return to Somerset, with Springsteen’s odds to headline the festival in 2024 having been slashed from 7/1 to 10/11.
“Dua Lipa (1/3), Coldplay (1/3) and Madonna (4/6) remain the current favourites in the betting, but all the signs suggest The Boss could well be edging one of them out for a starring role on the Pyramid Stage next summer.”
Here are the odds on stars to headline any night on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury 2024:
- Dua Lipa 1/3.
- Coldplay 1/3.
- Madonna 4/6.
- Bruce Springsteen 10/11.
- Pink 2/1.
- Dave 3/1.
- Rihanna 4/1.
- Oasis 5/1.
- Foo Fighters 6/1.
- Olivia Rodrigo 6/1.
- Green Day 6/1.
- AC/DC 6/1.
- The 1975 6/1
