FROME Nursing Home and Catherine House Care Home, both part of Evolve Care Group, teamed up for a community Halloween celebration.
The fun day involved a crowd-pleasing mix of hot chocolate and pumpkin picking.
Becky Press, home manager of Frome Nursing Home said: "I couldn’t think of a better way to welcome the Halloween season.
"Our family members absolutely loved seeing the kid's excitement over getting to pick their own pumpkin."
She further highlighted the importance of communal relationships in nurturing a sense of belonging among residents: "Relationships made in the community gives us a sense of belonging, it's our connections and meaningful relationships with other people where we draw our strength.
"We enable and encourage family members to continue to participate in the parts of the community that are important to them, both inside and outside the home."
The two establishments are nestled in Somerset's town of Frome.
Understanding each resident's unique life history allows them to create a home-like environment where no one feels alone.
The festivities proved a much-needed warm-up for Frome's chilly autumn evenings, leaving an indelible sense of joy among residents and the larger community.
