A MOTORIST has been banned from getting behind the wheel following his latest speeding conviction in Taunton.
Denys Wilcox, aged 53, of West Quantoxhead, had previously pleaded guilty to driving at 40mph in a 30mph zone on the A358 Greenway Road, in the county town.
He appeared at North Somerset Magistrates' Court on Wednesday (November 8) for sentencing.
Wilcox was fined £339 and told to pay £141 to help fund victim services, along with £95 towards prosecution costs.
His driving record was endorsed with three points, taking him over the 12-point threshold for a ban under the totting up system
The magistrates disqualified him from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months "due to repeat offending".
