ANYONE who tried to take cash out of an ATM at a supermarket in Taunton on Saturday is being advised to check their bank account.
The warning comes from John Cavaciuti, who twice unsuccessfully attempted to get £200 from the machine outside Morrisons supermarket.
He said: "I put my card into the machine to take out £200.
"The card was in there longer than usual. Then the message came up saying, 'Transaction aborted, out of time' before throwing the card out.
"I put my card back in a second time and exactly the same thing happened again.
"The same happened to a guy behind me."
Mr Cavaciuti then managed to take the cash out of an ATM at Tesco.
He added: "I then checked my bank account this morning (Monday, November 13) and found two lots of £200 had been taken from the account.
"Fortunately, my bank has said they will reimburse me.
"I just wanted to warn anyone else who used the machine outside Morrisons on Saturday to check their bank account to see if money has been taken from them as well."
