AN INDIAN restaurant in Highbridge has been named best in the South West.

Mint Bay won the Euro Asia Curry Award 2023 for the Best Indian Restaurant category.

The restaurant received the award at a ceremony held in London yesterday (Wednesday, November 15).

A message from the restaurant read: “Yesterday we at Mint Bay travelled up to London to enter the Euro Asia Curry Award 2023.

“Best Indian Restaurant in South West and we won.

“We are extremely proud of all the hard work that has gone into everything we do and we are very excited for the future here at Mint Bay.

“A huge thank you to all of our customers who nominated us for the award and a massive thank you for your custom.

“Last year, we won the British Curry Life Award 2022, this is a massive achievement for us and we cannot thank our customers enough for their support.

“Thank you all from all the staff at Mint Bay.”

A message on the Euro Asia Curry Award website read: “Established in 2015, by award-winning Asian chef and international hotel developer Shorif Khan, with 18 years of experience as well as former Patak’s development chef.

“He has developed 1800 Asian restaurants and takeaways from Bangladeshi restaurants, Indian restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Thai Restaurants, Pakistani restaurants, Nepalis restaurants, Malaysia restaurants and takeaway.”
