A Co-op branch in Taunton is celebrating three local charities who have helped to raise well over £7,000 for the community.
Co-op Member Pioneer for Taunton, Ellie, said in a Facebook post last week: "We had a wonderful time in the Cheddon Road Co-op store [on November 17] celebrating three fantastic local groups who have been Co-op local causes for the past 12 months.
"In total, our members raised over £7,150 for these three causes in our Taunton community, just by using their member cards when they shop".
In total, Community Fridge - Monkton Heathfield raised £2,331.37, Community Men In Sheds Taunton brought in £2,231.06, and Stand Against Violence saw donations soar to £2,588.82.
Co-op Cheddon Road has also welcomed a new local cause to the store for the new year called Compass Disability Services.
"Thank you for joining our celebration!" said Ellie.
