A SOMERSET businesswoman has expanded her hair and beauty business from a room above an MOT garage to a four storey salon.

Zoe Jarvis relocated her On the Lash Aesthetics business from Bristol to Wincanton in 2020, working from a small room above her husband's car maintenance business.

She converted the room into a fully functioning salon, and after three years of success, felt ready to take the next step in her career.

In March 2023, Zoe took ownership of Headquarters Hair Company in Wincanton, expanding the business from one member of staff to three local hairdressers.

The largely pink theme combined with Zoe's expertise has helped to attract lots of new clients whilst retaining the salon's already faithful base of customers.

Herself and the other staff members at Headquarters Hair are up for six awards at the Hair and Beauty Awards in June 2024.

Zoe's business journey doesn't end there however, as her latest venture has seen her take over a longstanding Wincanton salon spanning four storeys high.

Lawrence House Styling is currently being renovated by both Zoe and her husband, as she hopes to open a training academy on the top floor of the Grade II listed building, as well as working there herself.

"It will be a one stop shop for training, hair, beauty, aesthetics, make up, and barbering," Zoe explained.

"Weddings, festivals, parties - we will do it all."
