EV CHARGING at a car park in Taunton will be unavailable today (Wednesday, November 29) and Friday (December 1) due to “essential work”.
The charging facilities at the Crescent car park will not be available while work is being undertaken.
A message from Somerset Council said: “Please note: EV charging will be unavailable in the Crescent car park today, 29 November, and Friday, 1 December, while essential work is undertaken.”

The Somerset Electric Vehicle Charging Strategy was developed by Somerset County Council in partnership with the District Councils and was formally approved in 2020/2021.
The strategy provided an assessment of the charging infrastructure and uptake of electric vehicles in Somerset at that time, and it provided an indication of future demand for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The strategy takes into consideration the unique characteristics of Somerset and its population and clearly states the aspirations and vision for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
