A FAMILY-RUN pub in Somerset has been forced to close its doors for the foreseeable future after a temporary closure.
The Globe Inn in Wells has been serving locals for over 300 years, residing in a historic building on Priest Row.
Earlier this month, locals were shocked by news of the inn's sudden temporary closure, which was only added to when a 'To Let' sign was placed on the building's exterior.
The landlords said they were 'extremely sorry' for the inconvenience.
It is now confirmed that The Globe Inn will not re-open with landlords Dan and Mandy at the helm.
A statement from the pub reads: "To our lovely customers, we unfortunately have to tell you all The Globe will not be reopening with Dan and Mandy as your landlords.
"We have loved every minute here and have made some wonderful friends.
"The fun and laughter never stopped and we thankyou all for that.
"Thankyou for your support and custom over the many years.
"We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas - lots of love."
