A Holy Thorn cutting ceremony is set to take place at St John's Church in Glastonbury.
The event will take place on December 13, commencing from 10am.
St John's Infants School's eldest pupil, helped by the mayor and vicar, will snip a sprig from the Holy Thorn.
The thorn will also be blessed by Revd David MacGeoch.
Following tradition, the sprig will be cut and then sent to His Majesty, King Charles III for the Royal Family's Christmas table.
It is believed that the monks from Glastonbury Abbey took care over the original Holy Thorn.
Legend says that it first grew after Joseph of Arimathea planted his staff on the Wearyall Hill over 2,000 years ago.
