THOSE needing to use the bus over the festive period have been warned that there will be "some changes and reductions" to services.
Buses of Somerset by First Bus South has announced its bus timetables, which have been designed to ensure that staff members have time off to enjoy the Christmas period.
Services will be revised from Christmas Eve through to Monday, January 1, 2024.
First Bus South’s commercial director, James Eustace, said: “There are some changes and reductions to our services over the festive period, to give our hard-working staff some well-earned down time to celebrate with their family and friends.
"I’d like to say thank all our customers who have travelled with us during the past year - we look forward to transporting you across Somerset in 2024.”
Summary of changes
- Christmas Eve (December 24) - normal service.
- Christmas Day (December 25) - no service.
- Boxing Day (December 26) - no service.
- December 27 - 29 - All services will operate Saturday timetables. The CR4 in Yeovil will operate its normal weekday timetable.
- December 30 - normal Saturday timetables.
- New Year's Eve (December 31) - normal Sunday timetables.
- New Year's Day (January 1) - no service.
- January 2 - normal services resume.
