LANDO Norris has been ranked as the fourth best Formula 1 driver of the season by his fellow drivers after an excellent 2023 season.
It comes as part of F1's sixth edition of the Driver's Driver of the Year poll.
The field of 20 star drivers were asked to assess their rival's performances.
Bristol-born McLaren racer Lando Norris, who grew up in Glastonbury, saw himself find a place in the top five.
Red Bull’s three-time world champion Max Verstappen was ranked top, making it the third consecutive year he has been voted driver of the year in this poll.
This was followed by his former title rival Lewis Hamilton, who secured a second place in the ranking, one up from last year, despite his struggles with Mercedes.
In third place was Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, up from sixth.
Alonso and Norris had notably competitive individual campaigns, scoring eight and seven podiums respectively.
Meanwhile, despite a year which saw him finish second in the driver’s championship, Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez found himself ranked 10th in the poll.
This year’s vote continued with the tradition of allowing drivers to vote for themselves, although, as in previous years, not all drivers decided to do so.
Points were assigned based on current F1 points system, creating an overall top 10 from the combined scores.
