The Met Office has upgraded its wind weather warning for Devon, Somerset and North Somerset.
Originally set at a yellow warning, the area is now subject to a more serious amber warning level.
People in the areas are being warned of strong winds from 6pm today (Sunday, January 21) until 6am tomorrow morning (Monday, January 22).
A Met Office spokesperson said: "Storm Isha will bring a spell of very strong winds during Sunday evening and into Monday.

"Disruption to travel and utilities is likely."
Here's what to expect:
- There is a good chance that power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage.
- Probably some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
- Longer journey times and cancellations likely, as road, rail, air and ferry services may be affected.
- Some roads and bridges likely to close.
- Injuries and danger to life is likely from large waves and beach material being thrown onto coastal roads, sea fronts and properties.
- Wind speeds are already picking up and driving rain is reported in places.
The whole of the UK is under a weather warning - either yellow or amber - for wind and/or rain.
Wind speeds are forecast to be highest in coastal areas.
