COMEDIANS will be able to fine tune their acts in inaugural 'pre-Edinburgh Fringe Festival' Somerset Comedy Festival.

The event at various venues across the county throughout July will feature stand up, improv, sketches, storytelling, offering "a smorgasbord of laughter" for all tastes, according to founder Trish Caller.

She said: "We are thrilled to bring the Somerset Comedy Festival to life and provide a platform for both emerging and established comedians to showcase their talents.

"Somerset offers a fantastic backdrop for laughter, and we believe that the festival will become a must-attend event for comedy enthusiasts from all walks of life."

Ms Caller added that the festival is expected to draw attention from both the comedy industry and fans, with a carefully curated lineup spanning across genres and showcasing the richness of comedic expression.

Aspiring comedians will have the chance to perform alongside seasoned professionals, producing an atmosphere of camaraderie and growth within the comedy community.
