A local home care company has won the Social Care Business category at the Yeovil Chamber Business Awards.
Home Instead Yeovil picked up the honour on January 12 at the Westland Entertainment Venue.
Its win marks six years of excellent service, during which the firm has played a crucial role in enabling older locals to remain in their homes.
The company's commitment to providing top-level care was praised during the awards, with the honour presented by Somerset cricketer James Hildreth.
Dr Mark Hunt, owner of Home Instead Yeovil, said: "It’s such an honour to receive this award.
"My team and I support so many local people everyday.
"It can certainly be a challenge, but when we get rewarded like this, I can hand on heart say it’s worth it!"
Rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission, the firm offers everything from companionship to live-in care.
Home Instead has been in the top 20 home care companies in the South West six years in a row, with a score of 10/10 on homecare.co.uk.
Dr Hunt concluded: "Many thanks to the Yeovil & District Chamber for organising these awards and bringing together the local business community.
"I look forward to seeing Yeovil continue to be a powerhouse of business innovation."
