PREPARATIONS are underway for the three-day Wellington Film Festival starting on Friday, April 19.
Among the films are German silent movie Metropolis; documentary Six Inches of Soil showing how local food is produced; Jurassic Park; Saturday Night Fever; clips from Stan Laurel movies; Railway Approaches, a 1936 Great Western Railway publicity film; and Untouchable.
Other highlights include a look at the works of late BBC cameraman Brian Hulls; a 48-hour challenge for young people to write, shoot or animate and edit a three-minute film; a sequence of images projected onto the United Reform Church; and The Greatest Showman movie during an afternoon picnic at Wellington School.
