A poetry event with music took place to launch Taunton's first ever Taunton Together Festival.
It was hosted at Antiques on High by proprietors, Vincent Page and Leslie.
The event aims to promote Taunton as a cultural venue, as well as to anticipate the visit of World Art Games (WAG) International Artists.
Attendees enjoyed great performances from representatives of WAG UK, as well as performers Vanessa Garside, Norman Steel, Doctor MoJ, Janet Glynn Smith, and Richard Holt delighted audiences.
The group have represented the UK on a number of occasions, and have persuaded World Art Games International Artists to take part in Taunton Together 2025.
International musicians, Luis Martelo and Chris Brossard, further amped up the audience's excitement by providing entertaining sets.
The event was supported by many of Taunton's hidden treasures, including mayor Nick O'Donnell and deputy leader of Taunton Town Council, Martin Strauss.
While the launch was not a council event, it was organised by deputy mayor Vanessa Garside.
The first iteration of Taunton Together Festival is scheduled to take place on September 28 of this year.
