SEVERAL towns and cities in the south west of England have appeared in a list of the Best Places to Live for 2024.
Garrington Property Finders put together the list after identifying more than 1,400 cities, towns and villages that score highly in at least one of its criteria.
Garrington has been securing properties on behalf of its clients for more than 25 years, putting its expertise to use for this research.
On its website, Garrington says: “The basis of our success is expertise and trust.
“Garrington’s property finders have unparalleled specialist knowledge of their local property market, an extensive network of professional contacts, and recognise the trust placed in them by their clients.”
The towns, cities and villages are assessed on five factors: natural beauty, wellbeing, heritage, schools, connectivity and employment, and value.
Garrington then compared each location to others on the list and ranked them based on the average for each factor.
Of the south west's representatives on the list, Cheltenham finished the highest in eighth, mainly down to its natural environment and culture.
The others to make the top 50 were Bath (14), Saltash (37), Frampton Cotterell and Winterbourne (40) and Dorchester (47).
