Two young girls in the Himalayas are now able to complete their education thanks to the sponsorship of a Taunton charity.
Taunton Vale Inner Wheel donated a £1,000 cheque to Himalayan Children, a charity offering educational aid to young people in Ladakh, Himalaya.
Gail McAllister-Young of Himalayan Children thanked the Taunton group, having seen the transformative impact of the donation.
She explained how the sponsorship helped the girls achieve an excellent education in a first-rate school, promoting confidence and opportunity.
