A Somerset NHS spokesperson said: “The Wellington Road entrance to the Musgrove Park Hospital site will be closed to all vehicles over the weekend of Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 March.
“This closure will allow for the safe removal of one of the cranes from the surgical centre construction site.
“During this period, all access to the hospital site will be via the Parkfield Drive entrance.
“Essential patient access to the Beacon Centre will be maintained.
