Cadbury House is offering a lifeline to couples who have had their wedding plans dashed after the closure of Oak House Hotel.

The wedding team at the Congresbury venue are on call to support those due to tie the knot amid the uncertain times.

Matilda Burgess, sales and marketing manager said: "The sudden news that the Oak House shut is terrible for those looking forward to their big day.

"We also have every sympathy for the owners of the venue as the current economic climate is particularly challenging.

"We’ve already been able to help three couples and we have the flexibility to make couples' dreams come true.

"We're fully licenced to hold wedding services and have numerous options for receptions and celebrations."
