A PETROL station near Taunton has submitted plans to install electric vehicle charging points.
BP currently operates a popular petrol station on the A358 Cross Keys, on the western edge of Taunton just off the main road to Williton.
To enhance the site’s offer further, the company has applied (with its partner Pulse) to install four electric vehicle charging points just off its forecourt.
If approved, the new points will be installed with minimal disruption for either motorists or others shopping at the Marks and Spencer Food branch.

The planning statement states: "The proposed development is part of a national programme by BP - Pulse to provide more electric vehicle charging sites and points to encourage more electric vehicle use.
"This proposal aligns fully with Government announcements including their ten-point plan for a green industrial revolution, which involves the rapid expansion of green infrastructure and electric vehicle charging sites/ points. This proposal will contribute positively to that provision."
