THE full list of candidates standing for by-election for the two-seat Somerton division on Somerset Council has been confirmed.
The announcement was made on March 4.
It included four candidates: Gregory Chambers (Labour), Matthew Geen (Green Party), David Hall (Conservatives), and Stephen Page (Liberal Democrats).
Local voters are set to go to the polls on March 28.
Prospective electors must be registered.
Registration can be done online via the Government website, www.gov.uk/register-to-vote, the deadline being midnight on March 12.
Postal vote applications must be lodged by 5pm on March 13, which can also be done online.
Voters planning to vote in person must provide photo ID.
This can range from a passport, driving licence, to an older person's bus pass.
An out-of-date photo ID is acceptable as long as it resembles the owner and the name corresponds with the one used on the voter's registration.
However, those without the necessary identification can apply for a free Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) by 5pm on March 20.
Individuals can apply online, by post, or in person.
Assistance is available from the Somerset elections team at 0300 123 2224.
