A national investor discussion group is coming to Taunton.
SIGnet, a network of Serious Investor Groups, is aiming to enhance investing skills amongst its members, according to its charter.
The Taunton charter group plans to hold six annual meetings.
Primarily, SIGnet is a non-profit organisation, assisting both novice and seasoned investors alike.
Importantly, these meetings aren't designated as investment clubs — there is no shared investment pool or collective decision-making process involving sales.
Freedom is paramount, with individuals making personal investment choices and a strict no-disclosure policy concerning financial details.
The focus of the discussions is peer learning and personal development.
All members respect and encourage each other, regardless of their expertise level.
One SIGnet member, a private investor from Manchester who goes by D.W weighed in on his experience, commending SIGnet for its role in improving his knowledge and understanding of investment, applauding it for fostering a nurturing and relaxed environment.
For interested parties in Taunton and the broader South West keen to attend SIGnet discussions, further details can be obtained from Mr Tom Entwistle via email at tom.entwistle@gmail.com.
