FOR the 14th year running Greenslade Taylor Hunt has clinched the prestigious EG/Radius Most Active Agent Award.
The firm has again dominated the commercial property sector in Somerset with deals done with business investors from the county and beyond.
Among agreements secured in 2023 were the sale of West Quay House, Northgate, Bridgwater, to an investor who plans to convert the property into a hotel. The agents were quoting a guide price of £800,000 for the property.
A London investor bought a unit at Blackdown Business Park, Wellington, which was guided at £845,000. He has subsequently divided it into smaller spaces to rent out, showing the demand for industrial rental space.
Other industrial deals include the letting of 20,000 sq ft to Biffa in Taunton and 33,000 sq ft to a number of occupiers at Bridgwater Trade Park in Bridgwater.
Another interesting deal was a letting agreement for gym operator Bodyworld to move to larger premises in Venture Way, Taunton, to expand the business. This space runs to around 20,000 sq ft. The gym installed a first-floor mezzanine floor backing its belief in its health and leisure offering.
Duncan Brown, partner in charge of the commercial department at GTH, said: “We are delighted to have won this award again for completing more sale and letting transactions than any other firm in Somerset. This is testament to our commercial property team’s dedication and hard work.
"Despite challenging economic times, we completed more commercial property transactions last year than in our history which shows that our area of expertise throughout Somerset, Devon and Dorset continues to attract investment and occupier demand across all business sectors.”
Greenslade Taylor Hunt has a long-established, successful commercial property department. It operates from hubs in Taunton, Yeovil and Dorchester, supported by a number of property valuers and property managers across the firm, which has offices in Somerset, Devon and Dorset.
