A charity which provides end of life care in Bishop's Hull has reached the finals of a national awards event.
St Margaret's Hospice Care has reached the finals of the annual Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.
The hospice is in the running for the Community Engagement Award at the event, set for March 15 at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham.
These awards recognise individuals and organisations that bring about significant impact in their communities within the not-for-profit sector.
Neil Galjaard, the divisional managing director at Markel, said: "Every year, we are inspired by the incredible stories of how charities throughout the nation make a real difference in people's lives.
"St Margaret’s Hospice Care is a shining example of the outstanding contributions we seek to celebrate and wish them the best of luck for the final."
St Margaret’s Hospice Care has been assisting patients, families, and carers grappling with life-limiting illnesses across Somerset for more than four decades.
The Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
The awards are designed to showcase and reward the transformative shifts enacted by champions in the care sector.
