FIREFIGHTERS raced to the scene of an "accidental" vehicle fire in Taunton earlier this month.
Taunton crews received numerous reports of a vehicle fire in the Vivary area of the town at around 4.07pm on March 3.
One fire engine was immediately mobilised.
Once they arrived, crews found one vehicle well alight and quickly got to work to extinguish the flames using one Breathing Apparatus and one Hose Reel Jet.
Significant damage was caused to the engine compartment of the vehicle.
The Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service believe the cause of the fire to have been "accidental."
A spokesperson said: "The fire was contained to the engine bay of the vehicle but still caused significant damage to the engine compartment.
"The fire is believed to have been accidental."
