A soundscape journey immersing audiences into night wildlife sounds is coming to Somerset this spring.
Titled 'Out Of The Darkness', this after-dark audio installation will echo within the 460-acre rewilding site at Heal Somerset.
The performance intends to blend contemporary animal sounds with those familiar to ancient peoples, aiming to instigate profound dialogue about nature's transformation over time.
Heal's chairperson of trustees and acting CEO, Jan Stannard, said: "We hope that the audiences for 'Out Of The Darkness' will have an unforgettable experience listening to a soundscape both familiar and lost from memory".
Robbie Sloan, creative director, said: "We aim to transport audiences into the heart of the wild, bringing the symphony of wildlife into an intimate setting on the Heal rewilding site in Somerset".
The night starts with listeners being led to the venue, where they will sit in anticipation of a 40-minute experience.
They will listen to any live night noises before the curated sounds begin to envelop them.
The pioneering venture also features the design expertise of Dan Swift.
Performances will run on select Thursdays and Saturdays from March 14 to April 27.
Ticket sales, limited to 24 per performance, will finance the charity's efforts.
Tickets can be booked online through their website.
