A MAN who was caught carrying an axe in a Taunton street has been warned he faces jail if he reoffends in he next 18 months.
Luke Anthony Hodgkinson, 30, of Slough Green, appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court this month for failing to comply with the requirements of a community order made by the court last June.
After admitting the offence, Hodgkinson was sentenced for the original offence that attracted the community order last June.
The court heard he was in possession of a sharply pointed axe in Belvedere Road on March 18 last year "without good reason or lawful authority".
He was handed a 26-week prison sentences suspended for 18 months for the "serious offence" and his "blatant breach of the community order".
Hodgkinson was also ordered to pay costs of £85.00.
