Cooper Associates Foundation has announced it has reached a donation milestone of £100,000.
The philanthropic arm of financial advice firm Cooper Associates Group has achieved this feat since its inception in 2018.
It has been actively involved in assisting a variety of charities and community projects across the South West.
Many of the supported projects focus on the physical and mental wellbeing of children and young people.
The group includes notable charities such as PROMISEworks, Reminiscence Learning, All Sorts Gloucester, Ark at Egwood, JOGLE for Jude, and The Nelson Trust.
The funds are raised through the generosity of personnel within Cooper Associates Group, and include financial donations from earnings and a significant time investment in arranging fundraising events.
These events feature a myriad of activities ranging from skydives and charity cycle rides, to formal poker nights, golf tournaments, and litter picking initiatives.
Cooper Associates Foundation's contributions have been paramount in helping charities overcome hurdles and meet their fundraising objectives.
An excellent example is JOGLE for Jude, a charitable event formed by the parents of three-year-old Jude Chinn who tragically passed away last year.
Laura Jones and Richard Chinn required £4,950 to cover the accommodation costs of a cycling team traveling from John O’ Groats to Lands’ End in remembrance of their son.
Thanks to Cooper Associates Foundation's donation, the family and their supporters succeeded in raising over £150,000 for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Additionally, Brainwave, a Somerset-based charity that assists children with disabilities and additional needs to achieve independence, also received essential funding from the foundation.
CEO of Brainwave, Mr Keith Sinclair, said: "We are beyond grateful to Cooper Associates Foundation for their generous donation of £4,500.
"Thank you for walking alongside us on our journey to support even more children and families both locally and across the UK.
"We are fortunate to have you in our Brainwave Family."
Speaking about the accomplishment, CEO for Cooper Associates Group and a trustee for Cooper Associates Foundation, Ms Samantha Jackson said: "The whole team at Cooper Associates Group is beyond proud to have reached this momentous goal.
"I know I speak for us all when I say we are honoured to support such important charities and enable our local communities to thrive.
"Here’s to raising and donating the next £100,000."
Charities or good causes seeking funding can apply to the foundation via its website throughout the year.
